This kitchen in Wilton NH looked like a kitchen straight out of the 1960’s.
The cabinetry was a very dark with gray corian countertops and a red sink.
Wall separating the Dining room and the kitchen making the space smaller.
Cabinetry does not go to the ceiling leaving a gap for dust and grime to form.
Kitchen is very dark only having limited amount of recessed lights to illuminate entire space.
Countertop is very cluttered due to the lack of cabinet storage making it difficult to do prep work.
Cook top in the island hazardous to people passing by.

This Wilton NH kitchen went from 1960’s contemporary to a stunning modern contemporary Kitchen.
Cabinetry was updated however to a natural cherry wood in a flat door style to keep with the contemporary look.
The cabinetry now goes to the ceiling giving it a much more up to date look.
Switching the configuration of the kitchen and relocating the sink and the cooktop gives this kitchen additional drawer storage along with a lot of countertop space.
Removing the gray countertop and replacing it with a stunning blue granite really add a wow factor to this kitchen.
Adding a tile backsplash brings out the blue in the granite without conflicting with the natural beauty of the granite.
Island seating for three is perfect for morning meals or just talking to whoever is working in the kitchen.
Adding plenty of recessed lights and three pendants makes this once dark space into a beautiful well lit kitchen.
In summary – This contemporary 1960’s kitchen transformed to a contemporary kitchen of today. Changing the configuration of the kitchen made a huge difference in the design of this Wilton NH Kitchen. Moving the cooktop to the back wall and the sink to the island give this kitchen plenty of drawer storage as well as a lot of counter space. Having seating in the island provide a great place for eating or talking to the chef while they work.
